I found the following article on-line at www.freep.com. If any of you have pictures of snowmobiles on the streets, I would appreciate you sending them to me so I can post them. Thanks,

Soo welcomes snowmobiles

A new ordinance in Sault Ste. Marie allows snowmobilers to drive downtown.

That should benefit the city and tourists. Many visitors use the extensive snowmobile trails right outside of town, and the new rule allows them to drive in on most city streets for shopping and dining, says Linda Hoath of the Soo's visitors bureau.

The Soo hosts the International 500 snowmobile race every February, so the town has been identified with snowmobiling for a long time. Still, even snowmobile lovers need their sleep -- there's a curfew from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. every day. Shhh. (www.saultstemarie.com)
